The PHAT T lofts recently commissioned a few local graffiti artist to add some character to the new Charlotte condos located off North Davidson street in Charlotte NC. The artist have held nothing back, this is some of the dopest work I have seen in the area and LTF seems to be the crew with the magic can.
REBUS has developed a strong sense of character buttressing pushing his complex, technical designs to the typographic boundaries and back.

With all the rebuffing efforts graffiti these days in Charlotte NC is comparable to ice sculpting so when REBUS and his crew LTF landed the GIG in noda they were more than thankful for the opportunity. Under normal circumstances a graffiti artist in the Charlotte area is lucky if one of ten pieces actually survive the city wide rebuffing efforts.
REBUS takes an in the moment approach to his graffiti viewing it as a set of compromises. One letter leads to the next and the way they interact with each other plays a big role in the final aesthetic and feeling the piece produces.
Rebus has been doing street art for many years now but his work now can still run parallel with what he was doing from the beginning. He’s always stuck with complex jaw droppin designs but has refined the art over time by picking up influences from graphic design, typography, pop culture and his peers.

dope man. REBUS is too ill
Do you have contact info for him?

your art work is too cool! I would love to use it in my model portfolios. It would be further publicity for you, the model and myself… most of all it would make for one hell of a photo!
…very good..,,
I am looking for a book illustrator that does graffiti /tatoo/tribal style art. The book is for teens and I would probably need 9 or 10 illustrations… this would be a great opportuity for an unknown local artisit… Any ideas?
